Re: Favorite Vampire Movies
Well not exactly a movie, but I am IN LOVE with True Blood, the books and the show based on the books, and have since hooked several friends, a sister and my dad's gf right along with me! It is brilliant! I love the idea of Vampires (and werewolves and other shapeshifters) coming out of the coffin to live out amoungst human beings once and for all because the Japanese invented synthetic blood so they don't have to kill humans anymore. (Not that all vampires prefer this method of course!) I just love it! And Eric Northman! The Southern Vampire Series is by Charlaine Harris if anyone is interested, its brilliant
I love the Blade and Underworld series.
Also my new favorite is Daybreakers. That was really good! Basically the humans are going extinct and the vampires are running out of blood to live on.
And there's the classics, Interview with the Vampire will always be a favorite of mine. Dracula. So many older ones I don't even remember names to them I just grew up on them, but they're there in my mind!
But when it comes to Vampires for me Twilight will always be out and True Blood always pretty much holds the majority, probably because there are over 11 books and going on a 4th season so its a whole world and they (Harris and Alan Ball) take most of the real vampire lore seriously enough for me with making enough surprises to keep it fun and enchanting and gory to keep me entranced!

If you like Bowie and Bach's Cello Suites in G Dur.....
Then you have to LOVE The Hunger from 1983. I think I need to revisit it. (For research.)

I had recently bought a dvd series called The Hunger but it is from 2000 and something, not the 80's, and it is pretty good. I'll have to check out your Hunger also, lol.
